Optimising the contraption – by Prof Chintan Vaishnav

DISSCUSSION WITH PROF. CHINTAN VAISHNAV

GROUP 2 and 3:

  • Decide the points which needs to be maximised, minimised or optimised
  • Do not waste time on making a device getting 100% fruits
  • Most important: work on sales or marketing plans

GROUP 4:

  • Work on efficiency
  • Modify shapes of nails
  • Make nails denser
  • Increase safety – chances of hand getting slipped into the nails
  • Can make a mechanical obstruction to save the hand or can make a separation of hand and broom.

GROUP 5:

  • Conduct a proper Prior Art Search
  • Go through other previous models and study them first

GROUP 6:

  • List down the fundamental constraints – stairs, unlevelled surfaces, heavy loads to carry
  • Try optimising the economic problem and contraption
